Dear Members,
The Chamber's team wishes you a very happy and successful New Year!
2017 is set to be a historic year for the UK, as the Government puts into motion the country's departure from the European Union.
Last Tuesday, Theresa May outlined her Brexit objectives, but uncertainty remains, since much will depend on what sort of deal the UK can negotiate with its European neighbours. All we know for certain is that the UK will indeed leave the EU Single Market and seek to strike 'the freest possible trade' and sector-by-sector deals with Europe. The impact on businesses is slightly clearer. We will continue to monitor and update you on the situation as it develops.
Back at the Chamber, we have lined up a number of must-attend events for the year ahead:
- Our Annual Gala Dinner with Mayor of London Sadiq Khan on 22 March.
- Our Cross-Cultural Quiz Evening at PwC's offices on 23 February, which promises to be a fun and convivial team building event.
The Intercultural Trophy, sponsored by AXA, will be awarded that same evening.
I hope to see many of you soon and, in the meantime, may I recommend you to read the excellent latest issue of INFO, which features exclusive articles with some of marketing's brightest minds.
One again, all the best for 2017,
Best regards,
Florence Gomez,
Managing Director
